2010 Cathedral Chapel Offertory Program
.................................................................................................................................

My Dear Parishioners:

In this new year, I invite you to re-examine what
we have and what we have done to the gifts we have received,
specifically in our parish.

We are members of the Body of Christ and as such, are affected
by each other.   We live in a world that is imperfect.  When we
respond to the overall needs of the body, we spread the
blessings to each other not only by our prayer and fasting but
also by almsgiving.  Our life as Christians is authentic when we
are grateful for what we have received.

Gratitude is a loving response to God’s gift.  Your contributions
of time, talents, and treasure allows our parish to continue its
ministries as a family, as a community.

We are all stewards to the graces we have received.

In Colossians 3:15, St. Paul admonishes us, “To Be Thankful.”
I thank you for your gifts especially your financial support to
the parish.  At the same time, I ask each one of you to examine
your own life and recognize the gifts you have received  and
be grateful.

Sometimes it is hard to see this gift when life is difficult.
Remember, when you are able to see even just a little gift,
it becomes more precious, more appreciated.

May we all continue to spread this gratitude by giving of
ourselves during this season of Lent and throughout the year.
