Pope Francis has declared 2021 as the year of St. Joseph (Dec. 8, 2020 up to Dec. 8, 2021). Pope's decree included granting special indulgences for the duration of the special year. One way to receive plenary indulgence is to recite prayer in honor of St. Joseph on Wednesdays which is a day dedicated to the memory of St. Joseph according to Latin tradition (aleteia.org). As a parish, we will recite prayers in honor of St. Joseph during our Wednesday Masses (9:00 AM and 6:30 PM Novena).
In this year of St. Joseph we will feature reflections from members of our pastoral liturgy committee and parishioners. This week, we reflect on St. Joseph’s role as a father to Jesus and what this role signifies to the fathers in our parish. ( Read here.)
